Some people have complained about the size (either too large. . . or too small). . .but no one has posted a picture, so I just did. If you take quite a few medications. . . or supplements.. . . or both. . . then this pillbox might be for you. I actually have two of them. . one for AM and one for PM. They are easy to open. . . I like that they are clear so you can see if you have left anything inside. . . the lids stay shut. . . I've had one for several years, and it's still going strong. . . I really can't think of anything bad to say about them. They also have braille in the corner of the lid.

This is perfect if you take a large amount of supplements or medicines. I use it because I refuse to go on a statin and I need to take about 6 different supplements for Cholesterol. I take long international business trips, sometimes for 6 weeks at a time. I also take a lot of supplements with vitamins to keep me bouncing healthy. These weekly pill organizers save a lot of space in the luggage. I use to use very small plastic baggies for my pills, but I prefer these because I can reuse them.

I spend a good 40 minutes or so to fill these up before I leave, that's how many supplements I've been prescribed. Each compartment will hold up to 11 large supplement caps, large omega3 gel cap and various other small vitamins. I don't always fill these up to full capacity so there will be room to spare.

I have a blue version dedicated for AM and use this clear one for PM. A 5 week supply will fit just right in a gallon size baggie to keep them from jostling around in the luggage. The 6th week goes into it's own baggie and kept in my carry on luggage just in case of loss of luggage or not have to rummage around in the big bag. The tops click down solidly and open up easily. Perfectly organized reminder to stay healthy in the AM and PM.

First I'd like to acknowledge that I realize, or I discovered from trial and error, that pill cases are something that should be chosen by the person who will be filling them and administering the medicine/pills, because there are numerous different kinds, sizes, and styles and each one is good for different reasons. It's a very personal item, and everyone will like or hate certain types for their own, very good reasons.

This review is for the 3XL but the general features and quality of the product should hold true to any size of this exact design (EZY Dose brand XL, 2XL, 3XL).

SHORT & SWEET REVIEW - If you want the short & sweet version of my review, know that I chose this one because it was easy to fill, easy to handle, easy to dispense, had the number of days I wanted, was the size I needed in overall dimensions as well as the size of each compartment, is stackable, and it did not pop open when it should not. If you want a more in depth review, see below.

FULL REVIEW

I purchased the EZY Dose 3XL for $4.29 in 2011 and I'm very happy I did. I rarely recommend something that's a bit more expensive. I only do if the item is much better in quality than cheaper ones and therefore worth the extra money. I purchased others that were cheaper, and had to return them. The biggest problems I had with other designs were the compartments popping open when moved or if something accidently touched it, ease of opening and closing compartments, ease of dispensing (pouring out the contents), and size (holding enough pills).

PROBLEM:
You're taking a ton of supps or meds now for various reasons and realize it's taking forever each day to dispense each one.

SOLUTION:
This classic pill planner. Simple, cheap, but effective and decently made, the doors stay closed, even in your bag. Why open 6 different bottles each day when you can load your pills/supplements once per week and be done with it? Plus, this one is made of stronger, thicker plastic and isn't flimsy like so many I've tried.

DESIGN/CONSIDERATIONS:
Never underestimate the power of good design and function. I once had a pill organizer whose little doors would open in my bag. Guess what happened when one compartment opened on a hot summer day and my fish oil capsules tumbled out? Sadly, I had to say goodbye to the bag forever because I couldn't remove the odor.

Also, if you take several pills a day, the compartments in this pill planner are large enough for at least two fish oil caps and a few others.
